Minimalist Knitter Handbook!
So exciting… Robyn Devine, who is also making 100 hats (hers are for charity, and she’s doing it in one year), has written an eBook on minimalist knitting. And she’s giving it away for free! I love her approach and knew she was a kindred spirit when I first learned of her hat blog. She also writes the Minimalist Knitter blog. Go, check it out!

I think this hat probably looks best on someone with actual hair.

Hat #27

Pattern: “I heart pompoms” by Karen Borrel
Yarn: Araucania Nature Wool Solids
Finally! Seems like this one took a long time - probably because of the other projects I needed to finish.

Hat #25

Pattern: Thorpe by Kirsten Kapur
Yarn: Caron One Pound (in the ever-popular Minnesota colors)
This project used up the last of the red and most of the gold. Two pounds of each color transformed into an afghan, a scarf, and three different hats. (Miss Head says, “Whoa.”)

Hat #23

Pattern: Mondo Cable Cap by Bonne Marie Burns
Yarn: Dark Horse Yarns Fantasy
Yes, I made this pattern again by special request. It’s a gift for my mom’s friend, whose birthday is Valentine’s Day. The yarn is acrylic, but it’s a very nice acrylic. Soft enough for a sweater, IMO.
Here it is being blocked on a plate.

Another project in Golden Gophers colors. The top view is pretty cool. Here’s another pic.
